Always She!

She is seen as a notorious centre of corruption. Her children are treated with disdain and utter suspicion the world over, despite their ingenuity, intellectual prowess and creative verve.
This is the story of Nigeria, the world's most populous black nation, the mother of Philip Emegwali, Obiageli Ezekwesili, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Fela Kuti, Kasi Lawal, Dora Akunyili, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, and obviously an inexhaustible list.
Can this identity be reversed? How?
